...and means to ME

I regularly reference The Handweaver's Pattern Book , by Marquerite P. Davison, in its 26th printing, 1989.

It contains 200 pages each with 5-10 weaving patterns coded, named and referenced by their originators!

What a treasure! I learned of this book when I first sat behind a floor loom in a class in 1995.

I had loved this quote in the opening of her book but had not reread it for years. It caught my eye and my heart again recently and I want to post it. C. Valentine Kirby was an art educator.

I think that makes us family.
